The remains were interred in the cemetery at Zion Tuesday at 12 o'clock, services being conducted by Rev. Lindsey, of Farmington. The deceased was 49 years of age, and together with her husband, had long resided in this section. She was a member of the South Methodist church, and was a good woman, highly esteemed, and loved by all who knew her. Besides a husband she leaves nine(?) children, three sons and four daughters, and the sympathy of their many friends goes out to them in the loss of one so dear. He was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Bellevue Township to William and Edna (McCarthy) Muncy. He attended school near Royalton. He worked in North Dakota and then served in the Army from 1953-1955. He was stationed in Frankfurt, West Germany. He married Alyce Zilkowski on Oct. 9, 1956, in Flensburg. They owned and operated several businesses including Cliff's Bar and the Lindy Cue Factory in Buckman. He also worked for St. Cloud Jobbing and retired from the Camp Ripley Department of Public Works in 1997. He worked part time at Rich Prairie Livestock in Pierz. He was a life member of the VFW and the American Legion Post No. 341. Survivors include his wife; a son, Duane Muncy, Little Falls; a daughter, Roxann Slimmer, Little Falls; seven grandchildren; a brother, Glenn Muncy, Little Falls; and two sisters, Dorothy Nichols, Little Falls, and Hazel LaValla, Royalton. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman with Father Ron Dockendorf officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Parish Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by VFW of Little Falls and American Legion Post No. 341.
