Daughter of Luke and Jane Muncy.

BLAKEMORE, Mrs. J. E.--Mrs. Blakemore, wife of J. E. Blakemore, residing some three miles southeast of town, passed away Sunday afternoon about five o'clock, after a lengthy illness. The remains were interred in the cemetery at Zion Tuesday at 12 o'clock, services being conducted by Rev. Lindsey, of Farmington. The deceased was 49 years of age, and together with her husband, had long resided in this section. She was a member of the South Methodist church, and was a good woman, highly esteemed, and loved by all who knew her. Besides a husband she leaves nine(?) children, three sons and four daughters, and the sympathy of their many friends goes out to them in the loss of one so dear. [The Springdale News. 1/4/1900]

HUNTINGTON — Robert H. Muncy, 78, of Huntington died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, in a nursing home. He retired as a steam engineer and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Graveside service will be 3 p.m. today at Keota Cemetery in Keota under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.

He is survived by one son, Bob of Huntington; one brother, George P. Muncy of Fort Smith; and one grandchild, Cherie Dickerson of Nevada

MUNSEY, JOSH - age 21, of Maynardville, passed away July 23, 2005 due to an automobile accident. He was a member of Pennington Chapel Baptist Church, and an employee of Paul Savage Construction Company. He has gone to Heaven to be with his grandfather, (Doc) Austin Munsey and uncle, Billy (Hawkeye). Survivors: mother and father, Jess and Tammy Munsey grandmother, Mary Munsey grandmother and step grandfather, Virginia and John Baker grandfather, Virgil Rutherford lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2005, with funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. at Cooke Mortuary Chapel, with Reverend Gabrill Haynes, and Reverend Fred Goodson officiating. Interment will be 12:00 noon, Wednesday, July 27 at Big Barren Cemetery. In lieu of flowers make donations to Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville, TN.

BUCKMAN -- Clifford A. Muncy, 68, Buckman, died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at home.

He was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Bellevue Township to William and Edna (McCarthy) Muncy. He attended school near Royalton. He worked in North Dakota and then served in the Army from 1953-1955. He was stationed in Frankfurt, West Germany. He married Alyce Zilkowski on Oct. 9, 1956, in Flensburg. They owned and operated several businesses including Cliff's Bar and the Lindy Cue Factory in Buckman. He also worked for St. Cloud Jobbing and retired from the Camp Ripley Department of Public Works in 1997. He worked part time at Rich Prairie Livestock in Pierz. He was a life member of the VFW and the American Legion Post No. 341.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Duane Muncy, Little Falls; a daughter, Roxann Slimmer, Little Falls; seven grandchildren; a brother, Glenn Muncy, Little Falls; and two sisters, Dorothy Nichols, Little Falls, and Hazel LaValla, Royalton.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman with Father Ron Dockendorf officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Parish Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by VFW of Little Falls and American Legion Post No. 341.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at Brenny Funeral Home in Pierz, with parish prayers at 6:15 p.m. and Christian Mothers praying the rosary at 7:30 p.m., and from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Lena I. "Jackie" McClendon of Paden died Tuesday in Tulsa. She was 77. 

She was born May 20, 1921, in Paden to Taylor B. and F. Ola (Davis) Muncy and she graduated from Paden High School. She married Joe McClendon in Mexico on Feb. 20, 1954.

She had retired from AT&T and was a life member of Telephone Pioneers of America chapter 94. She also was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Clyde and Bernard Muncy; sister, Hazel Muncy, and great-granddaughter, Katie Taylor.

Survivors include her husband, Joe McClendon, Tecumseh; daughters and sons-in-law, Verna and Sam Fipps, Paden; Sharon and Bill Bell, Shawnee; Kaylene McClendon, Oklahoma City; son, Jerome McClendon, Tribbey; son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. and Jean Adams, Vian; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Toots Muncy, Paden; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilma and Harold Rogers, Maxine and Floyd Raines, Bettye and Barney Robison, all of Paden; sisters-in-law, Maggie Muncy, California; Odra Muncy, Oklahoma City; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lois and Leroy Buckmaster, Bethel Acres; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God Church of Prague with the Rev. Kevin Wehrli officiating. Burial will be at Paden Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Note from Find A Grave: “Per familysearch.org, Lucy was born May 15, 1841 in Milford, and died Jul. 6, 1907 in Londonderry. She was the daughter of John Bartlett & Myra Fisher, and the widow of James Emerson.

Lucy first married Benjamin F. Munsey 12/7/1866 in Nashua, New Hampshire. Benjamin died in 1870. Lucy married Moses P Burnham 10/18/1876 in Amherst, New Hampshire. Moses died in 1883. Lucy married James Emerson 5/11/1897 in Hancock, New Hampshire. I have found the graves of his parents, but have been unable to find his death date or place of burial.
