| 1788 | Find A Grave Memorial #165323521 Moved to Tennessee to live near son Bob Muncy. Ila Mae was born on February 10, 1907 to parents Sylvan Paul and Vessie Gose. Her grandparents were Dr. J. C. and Annie Lee Gose and D.W. and Emma Koiner, all pioneer residents of Krum, Texas. Ila Mae graduated from Krum High School in 1921. She married Herman Morgan Muncy in 1925 and their first home was in Krum where Herman worked for his father, O. C. Muncy and brother Owen Muncy in the Krum automobile garage and dealership that was constructed in 1924. The young married couple relocated to Whitesboro, Texas about 1928 where Herman worked in the Chevrolet Dealership owned by his brother, Owen Muncy. They moved to Wichita Falls, Texas in 1929 to be near Ila Mae's parents, S.P. and Vessie Gose where S.P. was speculating on oil field leases. Herman operated a gasoline station in Wichita Falls until 1938. Ila Mae's husband Herman Muncy died in 1943. In 1954, Ila Mae married a farmer, Lee Roy Jacobs, who earlier lost his wife to cancer. They had been married forty years when Lee Roy died in 1994. Through the tough times and sacrifices of the 1930s depression and caring for an ill husband and two sons, Ila Mae prevailed. She set her sights on living to be one-hundred and with the aid of a pace-maker and determination, she exceeded her goal. Her wish was to be cremated and her ashes buried in the Krum Jackson Cemetery next to her parents and two husbands. | Gose, Ila Mae (I2664)
