| 221 | Although no direct proof that this is the William, son of Tunis, circumstantial evidence is compelling. Samuel K. Muncey, known son of Tunis Muncy, was living with this family in 1850 - and was probably a brother of this William. ESLCV and DFM say that William, son of Tunis, had three daughters and one son - and this matches the census record. | Muncy, William S. (I454)

| 229 | Ancestry any MyHeritage family records lists him as David Fee Munsey or Muncy, the son of George Fee and Mary Muncy. This cannot be confirmed from records but may be family tradition. The father of Mary Muncy is unknown. One source lists Isaac Muncy as the father, without citing sources, but this is likely an error linking ANOTHER David Muncy who was a son or grandson of Isaac Muncy, but the dates do not work out Another family source lists Henry Muncy as the father of Mary Muncy, but no one by this name can be found in Harlan County Records. Father of Mary is unknown/unproven -- but this line is included in Francis Muncy descendants because many of his descendants were in the Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee during this period. | 232 | ANCESTRY NOT PROVEN - SPECULATIVE. could not write. Samuel Muncy is sometimes listed as the son of Obediah Muncy based on the fact that Obediah signed a marriage bond for him. However, based on convincing evidence including DNA provided by Roberta Estes, I have now placed him as the son of Samuel Jr. see: http://dna-explained.com/2015/01/25/samuel-muncy-17611768-1839-whos-your-daddy-your-mamma-and-your-kids-52-ancestors-56/ legal deposition conducted in 1802 (Washington Co., VA) says he came to work at Burk’s Garden in 1790. Had two children probably named after his parents - Samuel and Agnes. | Muncy, Samuel III (I357)

|
| 239 | ANCESTRY NOT PROVEN-Speculative NOT PROVEN SON OF SAMUEL - BASED ON CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE Find A Grave Memorial# 39872273 Drowned in the Swan River near Little Falls, MN. Single household, 1830 Whiefield, Lincoln, ME census; Shown as divorced in 1880 Morrison Co., MN census living alone; however, may not be correct since wife Permelia died in 1871. Note: Canadian Census of 1861 lists last name as “Munoz” but careful reading shows it to be Muncy. probably died in California but returned to Royalton, MN for burial Possible fathers: 1830 census - Maine - includes Samuel Munsey (age 50-59), Wiscasset, Lincoln Co. Joseph Munsey (age 50-59), Wiscasset, Lincoln Co. Reuben Munsey (age 40-49), Whitefield, Lincoln Co. Although Samuel G. is shown in Whitefield in 1830 census (single household), he is not close by to Reuben. Reuben is descended from Naphtali and there are no know descendants with the first name “Samuel”, so Reuben is not a likely father of Samuel G. Joseph Munsey is the right age group, but he is descended from Jonathan and there are no known descendants with name of “Samuel.” Samuel Munsey is the right age group with a logical placement of births to correspond to a son Samuel - and Samuel G. named a son “Samuel.” Samuel Munsey is the most likely father of Samuel G. Munsey, but this evidence is circumstantial and NOT PROVEN. | Muncy, Samuel G. (I86)
