James married Mildred Mills of Cincinnati, Ohio on June 27, 1952 in Cincinnati, OH. James is survived by his wife Mildred Daniel; children Kathy (Nelson) Wethington and Don (Jill) Daniel; granddaughter Shannon Daniel; great-grandchildren Elise, Zoe, Sion, Brennan, Jareth; sister Beulah Isaacs, brother Douglas Daniel and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Jule and Gladys Daniel; sister Helen Faye Higgenbottom; brothers Travis, John, and Les Daniel. James served in the Air Force for four years, Serving in the Korean War. He was stationed in Alaska and California. He retired from Ralston Purina after working for 36 years. He taught Sunday school for over 50 years teaching all ages, he also served as a clerk and deacon volunteering often at his church. His hobbies outside of working and caring for his family was reading his Bible and woodworking. Public visitation will be held at Princeton Pike Church of God (6101 Princeton Glendale Rd. Hamilton, OH 45011) on Monday December 7, 2020 from 11:30 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. | 3485 | Jean Marie Munsey (Blauser) Phoenix - God's servant Jean Marie Munsey (93) passed away on November 19, 2018 at Hospice of the Valley's Sherman Home in Phoenix, Arizona. Jean Marie Blauser was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania on February 5, 1925 to Floyd and Vivian Blauser. She was the last survivor of (8) eight children. She grew up and went to school in Duke Center, PA. After graduating from Otto Township High School she moved to nearby Olean, NY to work in the war plant during World War II. A real life "Rosie the Riveter" she ran a lathe making parts for army tanks. After the war she got married and started her family moved to California in the early 1950's. Life as a U.S. Air Force wife was well suited to her nurturing ways; providing a little piece of home for the airmen who served with husband Dean. They moved to Phoenix in 1975. Jean was a tireless worker for the Lord Jesus Christ her entire life. She volunteered in the food program at the Church on Fillmore in Downtown Phoenix for many years. After her retirement she served as church secretary for her church. She supported many outreach programs-Billy Graham-Turning Point For God, Our Daily Bread, and Leading the Way. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Dean A Munsey. They are now reunited in heaven "together forever." She is survived by her sons, Paul Munsey (Jacky), David Munsey, Grandchildren, Susie Freestone (Toby), Robert Maushund (Elissa), Heather Graham (William), Great Grandchildren, Austin Maushund, Joshua Graham, and Nicki Comstock (Sam). She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed everyday. A memorial service will be held on December 7, 2018 at 11:00am at Shadow Mountain Mortuary 2350 E. Greenway Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85022; with Pastor David Meek officiating. She will be inurned at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in a private ceremony. She was born February 13, 1922, in Jonesville, Virginia, and moved to Benton, Louisiana, after graduating high school. In 1942 she married Hugh Milton West and moved to Houston. Mr. West predeceased her in 1960. She raised their two daughters and married Richard Lewis Wood Hawkins, Sr., in 1973. They moved from the Houston area to Lakeway, Texas, in 1987. Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her husband Richard L.W. Hawkins, Sr., her sister Vivian Southward, and her stepson Richard L. W. Hawkins, Jr. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Diana and Lance Wren of Austin, daughter Barbara West and granddaughter Jeanette of College Station; stepdaughter and son-in-law Barbara and Ray McMillan, stepdaughter and son-in-law Susan and Floyd Perez, and stepdaughter-in-law Zell Hawkins. She is also survived by step-grandchildren Mary Margaret Willis, Jane Schoonhoven, Danny McMillan, John Rhyne, Stephen Rhyne, Laura Rhyne, Barbara Rhyne, Richard L. W. Hawkins III, and Tracy Grass. In addition she is survived by grandson-in-law Scott Wren and wife Debra, one great-grandson-in-law and by numerous step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston. | 3494 | Jerry Muncie, 54, formerly of Garrard county, was killed in an accident when the truck in which he was a passenger was struck by a train. The accident occured Thursday morn-ing, Oct. 3, at 3:42 A.M., in Indian-apolis, where Mr. Muncie had been a resident for several years. Mr. Muncie and his companion, Verle McCalment, had been marketing tomatoes on the South Side Market of Indianapolis, and were returning home at the time a fast Chicago meat train hit the truck. Jerry Muncie was born in Tennessee and later married Sarah Brock, of Rockcastle county. To this union was born five daughters and one son; Cresey Jackson, Resey Hicks, Lula Ford, Margare Muncie, Allie B. Brock and Homer Muncie, all of Indianapolis. His wife Sarah, died in 1919 and he was remarried in 1935 to Ethel Brock. Brides his wife and children he leaves two sisters, Maggie Renfro of Indianapolis and Sally Adams of Pekin, Ill., and one brother, Jim Muncie and one half-brother, Harrison Thomas, both of Indianapolis.
