Survivors include her husband, Robert "Bob" Sluss; one son, Robert Sluss, II, Pilgrim, Ky.; one daugther, Lynette Allen, of Michigan; one sister, Ruth Edith Mollett, of Ohio; and one granddaughter, Scarlett Elizabeth Allen, also of Michigan. Visitation and funeral services held at Calvary Temple Church. Visitation held after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 1999. Funeral held on Thursday, April 1, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. | 3635 | Land records show that his father Samuel was in Augusta Co., Virginia by 1746 so a birth in Kent County, Delaware is highly unlikely. Some records list Holton as being born in 1760, but this is highly unlikely. 1751 is an estimate based on the ages of the siblings, but I believe it is a good date and do not believe 1760 is correct. If he was born in 1760, he would have been only 16 years old when he married Alice — and two years younger than Alice. If he was born in 1760, his mother would have been an estimated 48 years old - a little old for birthing but not impossible - but there would have been a wide spread between his birth date and his older brother. In addition, during this time period the average age of males at first marriage was around 25-27, and that fits with a birth year of ca 1751. In addition, records show Holton Muncy was at the Elk Garden Station, 1774. during Dunmore's War. If born in 1751 he would have been 23 years old (logical).
