Ida's parents: Jonathan and Ann (Jones) Muncey. Ann died 13 May 1881 in and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Joliet, Will Co., IL. Jonathan died 24 Jul 1888, burial unknown. Below is the 1888 Will Co. Necrologist entry for Jonathan's death:
In the year 1836, our township received an important addition to its population. Jonathan Muncey, John E. WARD, James, STEVENS, H. SHORTS, Eban JONES, and Thomas CULBERTSON, all from the little state of Delaware, took up their residence here, locating in the eastern part of the township (Joliet Twp.). The death of Mr. Muncey, which occurred July 24, 1888, leaves Mr. Culbertson the only survivor of the six. Mr. Muncey bought a claim, sec. 13, the claim to which he afterwards obtained at the sale of canal lands. He was born in Kent county, Delaware. After coming here he worked at his trade of carpentering, and built the old Wheeler house still standing near the Red Mill. He also built the first house at Five Mile Grove for Ephraim PERKINS. Mr. Muncey was an industrious, quiet, reliable citizen, well known and highly regarded by all our older citizens. He was at his death, almost eighty-nine years old.

3860 Macy Levi Muncy was the son of Hollis Muncy and Dolly "Doll" (Green) Muncy.

The summer of 1954, Hollis and Doll were living at Hilvilla, just North of Willits, California. The State was widening some areas of Hwy 101. Macy worked as a Flagman (on that project). At the time; he, Mary & Ruby were the only children still living at home. Mary was a senior in high school, she worked at the Noyo Theater as an usher. I visited Willits in 2014, the Noyo Theater is STILL the only theater in town! lol It hasn't changed, looks the same as it did in the 50's!

DAVID O. MUNSEY, M.D., a popular physician and surgeon of Gaston, is a native of Russell County, Virginia, and dates his birth from the 7th day of July, 1845. His parents, Skidmore and Rebecca (Ewing) Munsey, were both born in Virginia, in which state they were married in the year 1842. Dr. Munsey was nine years of age when his parents came to Delaware County, Indiana, and he first lived about three miles from Muncie, in Hamilton township where his father purchased a farm. He received his education in the common schools and the schools of Muncie, and, in early manhood, began teaching, which profession he followed for two years. In the meantime he decided to enter the medical profession and to prepare for the same began reading in the office of Dr. Kemper, under whose able instruction he continued for two years, and then attended a 'course of lectures in the Ohio Medical college, Cincinnati, from whence he graduated in 1878. Fortified with a knowledge of the healing art, he began the practice of the same in the town of Parker, Randolph county; thence, one year later, he moved to Power's Station, Jay county, where he remained until 1870, at which time he Moved to New Corner, Delaware county, now the village of Gaston, where he has since carried on a lucrative professional business. In his chosen profession, Dr. Munsey has in a great measure solved the problem of success, and he occupies a prominent place among the professional brethren of, Delaware County. He is an enterprising citizen, alive to all the better and higher interests of the community and he endorses and patronizes all movements having for their object the promotion of the general welfare.
