| 4752 | Mildred Collins Munsey On Tuesday, August 26, 2014, Mildred Collins Munsey passed away peacefully in her home in Morristown, TN. Her death was of natural causes. Mildred was born in Greeneville, TN, on May 17, 1930. She was the daughter of Andrew and Cora Rosa Jane Collins. Mrs. Munsey was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Howard T. Munsey; her son, Rev. James Munsey; her parents; brothers, Earl, Ross, J.B., Robert, Ray and Richard, all of Greeneville, TN; and a sister Sue Ella Scott, of Greeneville, TN. Mildred was known as a loving, supportive wife to her minister husband. She served at his side as he organized two Free Will Baptist churches and pastored seven others. She was known as a prayer warrior. Her son recalled many times running into the house when he was a young boy and finding her kneeling by her bed in prayer. Howard and Mildred met when she was a young waitress in the old Brumley Hotel, currently known as the General Morgan Inn, in Greeneville, TN. Mildred dropped a biscuit in Howard’s lap as she was serving his meal. He promptly fell in love with her sweet, calm spirit, and made her his wife a short time later. Their union lasted 62 years, until his death in 2009. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Joe Foister of Jefferson City; a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Teresa Munsey of Knoxville; and a daughter-in-law and her husband, Mitzi and Gary Satterfield. She is also survived by grandchildren; Trisha Brady, Robin Swaneck, Laura Bosworth, Matthew Munsey, Rachel Jackson, and Megan Munsey. Mildred was great-grandmother to Gwyneth Kelly; Maggie Bosworth and William Bosworth; and Liliana Munsey and James Alan Munsey. Her family said Grandmother Munsey made the best raisin cookies in the world. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 30, from 11AM until 1PM, at Peace Free Will Baptist Church, Morristown, TN. The funeral will follow at 1PM at the church with Rev. Chris Dotson and Rev. Gary Norton officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Berea Ministries, Inc. PO Box 57, Morristown, TN 37815. The family would like to thank UT Hospice nurses, and special care-giver Glenna Holifield. | Collins, Mildred Irene (I4676)

| 4762 | Minnie Muncy is confirmed to be the daughter of James Guy Muncy in her obituary in the Xenia Daily Gazette (16 Jan 1973) Cass Lewis Sizemore was born on 31 July 1918 in MOUNDSVILLE, West Virginia, the town in which the prison incarcerating Wade was located. (We know this because Cass Lewis Sizemore put this on his draft registration card.) A descendant of Mollie Muncy remembers an "Aunt Minnie" who he says was a sister of Mollie (and thereby Wade.) He says she lived in Warfield. Another mystery…. in the 1920 census I find Hayes and Minnie Sizemore in Kermit, West Virginia…. alone. They list no children, and this was two years after Cass was born. Where was he? Living with relatives? Hayes Sizemore died in Huntington, WV in 1944. Cass died in April 2006 in Xenia, Ohio. Supposedly Ruby Muncy (Wade's daughter) went to live with Minnie Muncy Sizemore in Kenova, West Virginia in 1965. Minnie moved to Xenia, Ohio shortly after that and lived with her son Cass and family. By 1969 she was in a long-term care facility in Springfield. Obit says she is buried in Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia, but have not been able to locate her in FindAGrave. Steve Muncy 1/8/2020 | Muncy, Minnie Belle (I2880)
