Munsey, 35, of Rochhester. Mr. Munsey, formerly of Hampton and the son of Hampton Selectman and Mrs. Harry D. Munsey, died Memorial day in the Frisbie Memorial Hospital, Rochester. He was born in Exeter. He had lived in Rochester for the past 10 years where he was employed as a maintenance superintendent in the New Hampshire Public Service Co. During the war, Mr. Munsey served as a sergeant in the army and spent 30 months overseas. Munsey, Hampton Official, Succumbs at 77 HAMPTON -- Harry Dale Munsey, 77, a leading political figure for many years, died yesterday at his home, 641 Exeter Road, after a long illness. A resident of this town for the past 53 years, Mr. Munsey began his career here as a selectman, serving in that capacity for the past 30 years, and at the time of his death was chairman of the Board of Selectmen. In 1925 he was Hampton's representative in the legislature and was elected state senator from the 23rd District in 1929. He served as police chief in Hampton and Hampton Beach from 1914 to 1924, and in recent years had been bail commissioner. He also serves as Rockingham County's deputy sheriff. Born in Exeter, Dec 8, 1882, Mr. Munsey was the son of the late George and Grace (Langley) Munsey, and had attended Exeter Schools. He was employed as a farmer before starting his career in government. Well known in Masonic circles, he was a member of the Star of the East Lodge, F&AM and the Easter Star.
