| 5852 | Ref : On file at the Cass County Library in Cassopolis, Michigan. Thomas' parents, Thomas and Sibbyann Muncy, owned land in Jefferson County, Ohio by 1807 and sold that parcel in 1812. We next find them in Tuscarawas County, Ohio in 1818. That land was sold in 1828. Thomas H.. then moved to Cass County, Michigan around 1829. Family lore states that Thomas was reputed to have lived in a wigwam on the shore of Kelsey Lake in Sec. 2 of LaGrange Township. He and his family are listed in Penn twp., in the US Census for 1830. His first known purchase of land was in Sec. 12 of LaGrange Twp. in 1837.
