A retired Carrier employee, a veteran of the Coast Guard and a member of West Riverside Church of Christ, he was the son of George and Maggie Peppers Muncey and was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Elizabeth Bogle Muncey in 1993; one grandson, Michael Muncey; two sisters, Ruth Vickers and Clara Whitman; and two brothers, Marshall and George Muncey Jr. He is survived by one daughter, Treva Lawson of McMinnville one son, Eddie Muncey of McMinnville; two granddaughters; Penny Johnson and Leslie Johnson; two great-grandsons, Brady Johnson and Tanner Muncey; two sisters, Margie Wiseman of McMinnville and Carrie Davis of Detroit, Mich.; and one brother, Raidon Muncey of McMinnville. Services were held Saturday at the West Riverside Church of Christ with Tom Payne officiating. Burial followed at Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, James R. (Dick) and Elizabeth Munsey of Delaware, daughters and sons in laws, Jill and Lamar Amburn of Maryville, Judith and Harry Draper of Maryville, grandchildren, Richard Munsey and wife Valerie of Delaware, Michelle and husband Gary Irving of Maryland, Joshua Dalton, great great grandchildren, Benjamin and Alissa Dalton, several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jordan Amburn officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
