| 763 | Claiborne Progress obituary (see sources): ZOLIAN ELLEN HARMON MUNSEY Zolian Ellen Harmon Munsey, age 87, of New Tazewell, was born September 27, 1915 and passed away May 28, 2003 at Claiborne County Hospital. She received Christ at an early age and was raised in the Thompson Chapel Methodist Church. Later, she and her family joined the New Tazewell United Methodist Church where she was an active member of her Sunday School class and the United Methodist Women. For many years she served as bookkeeper for the former family owned business. Munsey Furniture Store. Her kind sweet and loving manner was a blessing to everyone whose life she touched. She was preceded In death by her parents: Robert Allen and Rozzie Parker Harmon; brother and sister-in-law: Dulane and Ocie Harmon; brothers-in-law: Cecil Essary and Charlie Neely; son, Lynn W. Munsey; husband, Whitt E. Munsey. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Rita and Dr. Leslie W. Doss; granddaughter, Rebecca Ellen Greene all of Nashville; grandson, Kelly Lynn Munsey of New Tazewell; sisters: Barbara Harmon (Mrs. Cecil) Essary of Tazewell, Anna Mae Harmon (Mrs. Charlie) Neely of New Tazewell; sisters-in-law. Thelma Lourene Munsey, Hazel Harrison (Mrs. Jack) Munsey both of New Tazewell, Sally Bailey (Mrs. Lawrence) Munsey of Tazewell; step granddaughter, Randle Elizabeth Doss of New York City; step grandson and daughter-in-Law: Brendan Leslie and Maggie Dugan Doss; step great grandchildren: Zoe and David Doss all of Petaluma. | 764 | Clarence F. McCubbins died peacefully July 2 at home with his family. He died as he lived in faith, hope, and love. Mr.. McCubbins attend Billings public school and graduated with the highest honors from Oklahoma State University in 1937. After working for 1st State Bank of Billings, Oklahoma Gas and Electric and the Internal Revenue Service, he opened his own accounting practice in Enid in 1947. In 1967 he became business administrator of St. Mary's Hospital and later taught accounting at Phillips University. He was active in scouting and church affairs. He is survived by Juanita Snider McCubbins, his wife of 62 years, their four children Rilla and Marvin Chaney of San Anselmo, California, Tipton F. and Stefanie McCubbins of Stillwater, Oklahoma, R. Chris McCubbins and Susan Jacobsen of Winnipeg, Canada, Phillip W. and Baiju McCubbins of London England, four grandchildren, Anne Chaney Brewer, Nathania Chaney Aiello, Katharine Chaney, and William M. Willis, his brother, Judge Robert McCubbins of Billings, and Dr. Hope Snider Ross of the home. "Nell" Ione Woolsey was the daughter of John Rube Woolsey & Myrtle Lee (Sexton) Woolsey. She was b. 29 Jan 1911, Fayetteville, Arkansas & d. October 10, 1979, Corcoran, Kings County, CA. March 18, 1937- Clarence & Nell were living at Fullerton, CA. Clarence was working at United Can Company & Nell was working at Calif. Pea Products. On their application for SSN's, they note them address as: 247 West Santa Fe, Fullerton, CA Feb. 11, 1972, Clarence & Nell came to San Jose, CA to Uncle Clyde Bowden's funeral (uncle Clyde was the husband of Elsie (Muncy) Bowden; daughter of Levi Muncy). Levi Muncy (my grandpa) was Willie Muncy's brother. Note: After Nell Ione (his 1st wife died, Clarence married "Nellie" Marie (Hill) Reed, on October 6, 1980, in Carson City, Nevada.
