- A license was issued and not returned to Edward "Moncy" and Isabella Niceley was issued 15 February 1878 in Claiborne County; possibly, an engagement fell apart, and this may be the same Isabella who married Edward's brother Samuel. Malissa is probably the 10-year-old with Charles Brown in Hancock County in 1870 and born ca. June 1860 in Hancock County.
No record of the couple has been found beyond 1880; they may have died before 1900, but of course far more research is necessary to prove that. They could be the parents of Della Munsey who married Jeremiah Munsey, Jr., but such is nothing but pure speculation.
