George Washington Munsey son of Andrew and Elizabeth (Sawyer) Munsey had three sisters, Rhoda, Lucy, Betsey, two brothers, Timothy, Andrew, and one half sister, Mary. He married Paulina Dickerson on Nov. 7, 1846 in Mercer, ME. They had four children, Mary, Charles, Laura, Georgia. After Paulina's death, George married Electa K. Weeks on Nov. 27, 1860 in Waterville, ME. They had two daughters, Mary and Alberta.
George was preceded in death by his wife; Paulina, his parents, his sisters; Rhoda, Lucy, Betsey, Mary, and his brother; Timothy. His daughters; Mary, Georgia, and son; Charles.
He is survived by his children; Laura, Mary, Alberta, and brother; Andrew. It is unknown if his wife Electa passed before or after George.
George was a machinist by trade.
George may have been visiting with his daughter, Laura, and her husband, Henry, and their family in Owatonna, MN when he died. His body was brought back to ME for burial next to his first wife Paulina
