- BUHL • Franklin Roy “Bill” Marlow, 60, of Buhl, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at home.
Bill was born Dec. 26, 1951, at Wendell, Idaho, to Russell and Helen Kavig Marlow. He was raised and educated in Buhl, graduating from Buhl High School in 1970. He was captain of the football team and a wrestling star, being awarded Athlete of the Year his senior year. He studied in the electrician program at CSI. Bill worked at Seneca for 30 years. He also farmed and ranched at Buhl. In 2010, Bill married Shelley Zank.
Bill was a very generous and humble man with a kind soul. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Bill was a prankster who loved to joke and laugh. He was optimistic and could always see the positive in things and the good in people. He loved to dance and did so every weekend with his wife, Shelley. Bill was very dedicated to his spiritual beliefs and walked his path with God. He was loved by so many and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Shelley of Buhl; his children, Michelle Marlow and Josh Marlow; a sister, Pat (Albert) Eriksen of Buhl; and numerous honorary grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a wife, Beulah.
A celebration of life will be held for Bill, per his wishes, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, in the pasture at his residence at 4223 N. 1360 E. of Buhl, Idaho. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Chapel in Twin Falls.
