  Find A Grave Memorial #157693817 On May 29, 1861, 19 year old Samuel joined the Confederate Army as a member of Company F of the 11th Virginia Infantry. One year later he was killed in the Battle of Fair Oaks (Called The Battle of Seven Pines by the Confederates). Veterans records indicate that he was one of numerous unmarked soldiers buried in the cemetery.
