- George William Muncy was born in Louisa County, Iowa, April 28, 1865, died June 17, 1932 at his home near Crawford, age 67 years, 1 months and 13 days. He united with the Christian church near Eureka Springs, Arkansas at the age of 23 years. He was married to Mollie Harris in 1888, married 44 years. To this union eight children were born six of whom survive. They are Mrs. Fred Condo, Durham; Mrs. Ray Stine, Clinton; Mrs. Jess Dooty, Crawford; Clyde, Cleo and Evelyn of Crawford; 5 sisters and 2 brothers and 4 grand children.
Funeral services were held in the Crawford church after which the remains were laid to rest in the Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma in the presence of a host of loved ones and friends with Rev. Dial officiating and Tunnard's Funeral Home in charge.
