Then joined the Coast Guard. Then married to Doris Osborne, had six children 3 boys and 3 girls. Retired from Coast Guard in 1962 as a E7. Was a Ham radio man and a reserve cop in Coos Bay and North Bend. Was divorced in 1978. Married Patricia Amsbary in 1978 had one daughter. Was a member of the Air National Guard Reserves as there communications Officer.
