Uncle Willis was a fine man, he was dearly loved by all. I've never heard a derogatory word said about him. He dearly
loved his family, aunt Irene was the love of his life, they had three daughters. A Christian since age of 10.
My parents named their first born child/son "Willis" (even my Dad liked him) that says a lot!
Uncle Willis and aunt Elsie were the family genealogists. Aunt Elsie's address book was the place to go if we were looking for (just about anyone). However, Uncle Willis was the one that went to see/visit them. He and Irene came to every Family Reunion and many of the funerals, driving from New Mexico.
George "Patrick" Muncy (son of George & Margie Muncy) told me the following cute story about Uncle Willis:
"The day I turned 16, I joined the Merchant Marines. I was on a ship in San Pedro, California (one day) these two guys came on the ship, one was a guy I knew from Shady Point, OK the other was Willis Muncy. Willis said; Do you know who I am, I'm your cousin, Willis Muncy! That's the first time I recall meeting him." LOL
Uncle Willis was also in the Merchant Marines, stationed somewhere nearby, and he's tracking down his relatives. LOL
God bless him; if there's a "Genealogy Dept." in heaven we all know where to find him.
