  Find A Grave Memorial #113345528 (Ref: CARLSBAD CURRENT-ARGUS, Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, reads as follows: IRENE MUNCY LAS CRUCES--A private service for the family of Irene Muncy, 88, McLean, Texas, is scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Bailey-Ware Funeral Home, McLean, with Pastor Leland Lewis, First Assembly of God, Pampa, Texas, officiating. Burial will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Las Cruces. Irene Muncy was born Aug. 27, 1915, to Will and Emma Lamb in Havana, Ark. She married Willis Muncy on Jan. 31, 1933, in Poteau, Okla. They were married for 71 years. Mrs. Muncy was a devout Christian who was devoted to her church. She was a Sunday school teacher and belonged to the women's missionary group. She was a homemaker and also worked at Furr's grocery store for several years. She had a wonderful sense of humor, she loved flowers and she was an accomplished artist. She is survived by her husband Willis Muncy of McLean; daughters, Irma and Marty Wagner of Eufaula, Ala., Phyllis and Wayne Cunningham of Las Cruces and Gayle and Art Rhode of McLean; sisters, Mary Watson of Checotah, Okla., and Billie Hall of Grand Prairie, Texas; three grandchildren, Shelley Brooks of Boise, Idaho, Matt Merrick of San Antonio, and Robin McCracken of Amarrilo, Texas; and four great-grandchildren, Lee-Erin Brooks, Elle and Mia McCracken and Yasmin Hirsch. Memorials may be made to BSA Hospice, Pampa, Texas, or McLean Care Center Activity Program, McLean, Texas.
