- John "Howard" Muncy was the son of Levi Muncy and Canzadia "Zadie" (Doshier) Muncy. He was born at Sutter, (currently known as Calhoun, Le Flore County, Oklahoma).
His paternal grandparents were William S. "Billie" Muncy & Mary (Sizemore) Muncy, his maternal grandparents were George Washington "G.W." Doshier & Mary Jane "Molly" (Brewer) Doshier. He was married but had no children.
Uncle Howard died in a mining accident while working at the Colorado~Utah Mine at Mt. Harris, Routt Co., CO. He was trapped between a coal car and a post, he suffered a crushed chest and broken pelvic [See the transcription of his Death Certificate below].
