He was the son of Minnie Muncy Curry and the late Julius Muncy. He was preceded in death by a sister Joann Hall and stepfather, Garnet Curry.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lucille Estep Muncy; a son, Wallace Muncy Jr.; daughter Patricia Billips both of Delbarton, WV.; two sisters, Bernice Kirk, Delbarton, Betty Walker of Wurtland, KY; brother Troy Lee Muncy of Cattlettsburg, KY.
He was a retired educator having taught in the Mingo COunty area for more than 30 years. He retired from Burch High School.
