Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Hawkins Funeral home chapel for Pfc. Cecil F. Munsey, son of Mrs. Matilda Munsey, 102 Pearis street, who was killed in action on June 12, 1944. Services will be conducted by Walter Claytor of Gary. The body arrived Wednesday morning from overseas and was taken to the Hawkins establishment. Private Munsey enlisted in the armed forces on November 18, 1941, and served in the 115th infantry, 29 division. He had been overseas 18 months when he was killed in France. He was born at Bradshaw on November 18, 1919, and received his education in the Bluefiled schools. He is survived by his mother, and thee sisters: Mrs. Ethel Marks, Mrs. Frances Edwards and Mrs. Edna Jarrett, all of Bluefield. His father, Frank Munsey, preceded him in death. Re-interment will be in Monte Vista Park cemetery, where the American Legion will have complete charge of the military funeral.
