  	George E. Munsey, Jr., 92 of Roanoke, passed away on Friday evening, December 6, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Edith Munsey; brothers, Garland and Roscoe Munsey; sisters, Ona Pearle Huff, Olive Williams, Alga Munsey, and Ruth Stephens; and a son, Sammy W. Munsey. Surviving are his wife, Freedia B. Munsey; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Sue Hundley and Preston K. Hundley, of Salem; Linda M. Seneker and Vince Seneker, of Salem; a granddaughter, Terra Sue Chambers and husband Roy, of Roanoke; a niece, and nephews. Mr. Munsey was an Army veteran of World War II, was an avid gardener and birdwatcher, and was a longtime member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank the staff of Pheasant Ridge Memory Care for their diligent and loyal attention to Mr. Munsey. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM Tuesday from Oakey's South Chapel with Pastor Robert Stutes officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorials be made to the church or charity of one's choice. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Monday at Oakey's South Chapel.
