Mrs. White was a therapy aide at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale for 24 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Danforth United Methodist Church and the Danforth American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Born on March 14, 1924 in Danforth, ME, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Florence Lee Muncey. Survivors include four children, Alton White Sr. of LaGrangeville, Joann Martell of Brushton, Helen B. Chase of Wingdale, and Lillian Moore of Hancock, ME; a brother, James Muncey of Wingdale; three sisters, Margaret St. Onge of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Marion Knights of Wingdale, and Gloria Irish of Danforth, ME; 15 grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was predeceased by four sons, Morris White Jr., George White, Allan White, and Martin White; two daughters, Ellen and Dorothy White; a brother, Gerald Muncey; and two sisters, Amelia Love and Vera Bonner. Calling hours are 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, at the Hufcut Funeral Home, Main Street, Dover Plains. Graveside services will be held in the spring. Interment will be in Danforth Cemetery in Danforth, ME.
