McCubbins - Clarence Raymond
1885-1961
married Alma Muncy (daughter of Robert Emmett Muncy) in 1914 in Oklahoma; he was a professional prize fighter, merchant and farmer. A professional prize fighter; and welterweight champion of the world. When Clarence first started fighting he didn't want his mother to know, she was a very religious lady, so he fought under the name of "Wild Cat Ferns" and "Kid Ferns". Clarence couldn't resist a good fight and was picked up by a manager, where he fought mostly out of Kansas City, Missouri between 1909-1922.
